This school prioritises trauma-informed practice, positive behaviour management and reflective language in every aspect of education and seeks a SEMH Teaching Assistant who can uphold these values in a hands-on and dynamic role.

The Role - SEMH Teaching Assistant

You will support pupils with SEMH needs through behaviour management strategies, targeted interventions, and classroom support. Your role will involve maintaining structure, building relationships, and helping pupils develop the skills needed to succeed both in school and beyond.

This is a role for individuals with strong personalities who can set clear boundaries while maintaining a supportive and encouraging approach. The successful candidate will be confident, resilient and able to relate with disadvantaged young people. This SEMH Teaching Assistant role will provide you with appropriate training and transferable skills to a number of fields such as SEN Education, therapy, psychology and more.
