Role - SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location - Manchester (M12)

Pay - £475-£550 per week, depending on experience

Start Date - 20/04/2026

Contract Type - Temp to Perm

Are you a calm and resilient teaching assistant with experience supporting SEMH? We are currently working with a Primary Pupil Referral Unit in Manchester to recruit for after Easter.

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Build strong relationships with pupils, supporting 1:1 with both academic and emotional mentoring
• Work collaboratively with other staff members and external agencies to monitor progress
• Assist in preparing engaging learning resources

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

• Up to date Safeguarding training in the last year (desired but training can be provided)
• Team Teach training is highly desired
• Previous experience supporting Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references
