SEMH Teaching Assistant \n\nRemedy are seeking a resilient, empathetic, and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in one of our welcoming partner schools in Lewisham. By visiting our schools and candidates in person, we ensure the right match between support staff and school environments.\n\nWhat you'll do as an SEMH Teaching Assistant:\n\nProvide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs\nAssist in implementing behaviour strategies and personalised support plans\nPromote emotional regulation, resilience, and a positive sense of wellbeing\nHelp pupils develop confidence, self-esteem, and coping strategies\nWork closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and pastoral teams\nCreate a calm, safe, and structured environment that supports learning and emotional growth\nBuild strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may display challenging behavioursWhat we're looking for:\n\nExperience supporting children with SEMH needs (highly desirable)\nA calm, patient, and nurturing approach at all times\nStrong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nA proactive, flexible, and resilient attitude\nAn enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)Apply Today\n\nIf you're a compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant ready to support pupils in a nurturing and inclusive school, we'd love to hear from you
