This Luton role is ideal for an experienced SEN Specialist teacher or nurture practitioner who is passionate about helping pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs re-engage with education, build emotional resilience, and achieve both academically and personally.

The Role - SEN Specialist Teacher - Luton
As a SEN Specialist Teacher, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, nurture-based teaching to small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Support pupils with SEMH needs, focusing on emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Apply trauma-informed and attachment-aware practices consistently
- Plan and deliver personalised learning aligned to individual EHCP outcomes
- Work collaboratively with SENCOs, pastoral teams, therapists and external professionals
- Create a calm, structured and predictable classroom environment where pupils feel safe and valued
You will play a pivotal role in building strong, trusting relationships that enable pupils to develop confidence, self-regulation and a renewed enthusiasm for learning.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS or QTLS (desirable), or have substantial experience within an SENsetting
- Have proven experience supporting pupils with PMLD, SLD, trauma or behavioural needs
- Demonstrate resilience, patience and consistency
- Be skilled in building positive, restorative relationships
- Be able to commute to Luton
- Be committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
- Show enthusiasm for continued professional development
