About the Role
An established and forward-thinking special school in London is seeking an inspirational and committed SEN Teacher to join its dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled teacher who is passionate about supporting neurodiverse learners and making a meaningful impact on pupils aged 5-16.
You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, ambitious curriculum tailored to meet the needs of pupils with Autism, SEMH, and associated behavioural needs. The school is entering an exciting phase of growth, offering the chance to contribute to its ongoing development and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a carefully sequenced, adaptive curriculum that meets the diverse needs of pupils with SEND Create an inclusive classroom culture built on high expectations and strong relationships Support pupils' academic progress alongside their personal development and emotional wellbeing Implement effective behaviour management strategies rooted in a trauma-informed approach Use assessment systems to track progress and demonstrate meaningful impact Collaborate with leadership and colleagues to continuously enhance curriculum delivery Contribute to a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience working with pupils with Autism, SEMH, and complex behavioural needs Strong understanding of adaptive teaching and inclusive practice Confident in behaviour management and trauma-informed approaches Passionate about supporting neurodiverse learners to achieve their full potential Committed to continuous professional development and collaborative working
