About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join a specialist education setting supporting children and young people aged 5–19 with complex learning needs, including autism and associated difficulties.
This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering a highly personalised curriculum supported by an integrated therapeutic approach. The setting places a strong emphasis on communication, independence, and preparing learners for life beyond education.
Key Responsibilities
Support students in both classroom and community-based learning environments Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver individualised learning programmes Promote communication, social interaction, and independence skills Provide pastoral care and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment Assist with behaviour support strategies tailored to individual needs Support students with personal care needs, including toileting, hygiene, dressing, and feeding, delivered with dignity and respect Encourage participation in life skills and enrichment activities
