The Role
A supportive and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant is required to join the school from April 2026 until the end of the academic year (July 2026).
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support pupils with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and develop confidence in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering differentiated learning activities.
• Support pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
• Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Support pupils during classroom lessons, break times, and school activities where required.

About You

• Have experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
• Be patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting childrens development.
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Have the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Be confident supporting pupils with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs.
• Hold a relevant TA qualification or have equivalent experience (desirable but not essential).
• Be reliable, proactive, and committed to making a difference in the classroom.
