SENCO – September Start An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join a successful secondary school from September in Reading. We are looking for a passionate, organised, and forward-thinking SEND practitioner who is committed to ensuring every student can access an inclusive and supportive learning environment. About the Role The successful candidate will: Lead the strategic development of the school’s SEND provision Oversee the identification and assessment of students with additional needs Coordinate targeted interventions and whole-school inclusion strategies Support teachers to deliver high-quality, adaptive classroom practice Manage EHCP processes and maintain accurate SEND documentation Build strong relationships with families, staff, and external agencies Champion an environment where all learners can flourish What We’re Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete it) Strong understanding of SEND legislation and effective SEND practice Excellent communication and organisational skills A genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for vulnerable xehkeey learners What the School Offers A supportive and collaborative staff team Opportunities for professional development and leadership growth A culture centred around inclusion, wellbeing, and high expectations How to Apply If you’re passionate about SEND and ready to make a meaningful impact from September, please get in touch for more information or to discuss the role further.
