Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunity A well-regarded primary school in Hounslow is seeking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teacher to lead a newly developing specialist provision from September. If you are a SEND Teacher this is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role within a growing SEND team, working in a purpose-built resource provision designed to support pupils with additional needs within a mainstream setting. School & SEND Teacher Role Overview Inclusive primary school in Hounslow with a strong community ethos Newly developed SEND Resource Provision within the school Small class of up to 8 pupils, all with EHCPs Supported by 2 experienced Teaching Assistants Outer London MPS1 UPS3 The SEND Provision The provision has been recently established as part of the local authoritys wider SEND strategy and offers a specialist environment for pupils whose primary needs relate to communication, interaction and cognition & learning. The class is intentionally small, with a maximum of eight pupils, allowing for a highly personalised approach to teaching and learning. Each pupil has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), meaning support is carefully structured around their individual needs and long-term outcomes. You will be supported by two skilled Teaching Assistants, with additional guidance from external professionals. The provision also benefits from links with a specialist partner school, providing ongoing expertise and development opportunities for staff. This role offers the chance to shape and develop the provision further as it continues to grow, with plans to expand SEND support across the school in the future.
