2 to the Head of Capital - act as deputy and strategic sounding boardOwnership of key market risk and capital modelling workstreamsShape and evolve both internal and proxy modelsHigh visibility across Finance, Risk, and senior leadershipCollaborative culture where innovation and curiosity are rewardedThis role sits at the forefront of capital modelling innovation and offers a blend of hands-on technical depth and strategic influence-ideal for someone ready to make a mark and grow into future leadership.
Lead technical development of internal market risk models and the external proxy frameworkTake ownership of key risk modules, ensuring regulatory compliance and commercial relevanceDeliver robust quantitative analysis, insight and scenario testing to senior stakeholdersTranslate complex modelling into clear, actionable insightsCross-collaborate across assumption setting, reporting, and capital optimisation
FIA (or equivalent) with a strong quantitative background (FRM also considered)Proven expertise in Solvency II/Solvency UK and internal capital modelsStrong coding skills - Python preferred, R or MATLAB also usefulExperience with proxy modelling, distribution fitting or credit/market riskExcellent communication and stakeholder skills - can bridge technical and non-technical audiencesCredible and capable of stepping up when the Head of Capital is unavailable
