Role Overview:
As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will have an important role in delivering high-quality surveying services across a diverse range of projects and professional services. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the strategic growth of the Building Surveying team in Potters Bar. This role requires a proactive, commercially minded professional with good technical expertise.
Key responsibilities:
• Forge and nurture client relationships, actively seeking new connections and maintaining existing ones to drive business growth. • Provide valuable support and expert advice to our Partners and teams, address client-related challenges and deliver exceptional services. • Act as a mentor and supervisor to our trainee surveyors, effectively managing their workload and overseeing their projects. • Contribute to the training and development of colleagues. • Review your workload and performance regularly, ensuring high-quality output and identifying areas for improvement. • Undertake CPD to stay at the forefront of best practice. • Uphold compliance with our document management system, company policies, and industry accreditations in Quality Assurance, Environmental, and H&S.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Building surveyor with a minimum of 7 years of professional consultancy experience, with or without professional Chartered status (MRICS). • Experience of design, contract administration and professional services. • Effective communication and presentation skills. • Professional dedication and enthusiasm • Resilient and capable of performing well under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines. • Excellent organisational skills. • Attention to detail. • Access to own vehicle and a clean driving licence for site visits.
