Description

As Senior Buyer, you will take ownership of a key spend portfolio and be responsible for delivering both strategic and operational procurement excellence. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading supplier sourcing, assessment, and negotiation to secure competitive commercial agreements
Developing and implementing procurement strategies to improve supply chain performance
Ensuring adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and industry standards
Managing supplier and stakeholder interactions to support operational objectives
Tracking market activity to identify risks, opportunities, and cost‑reduction initiatives
Analysing procurement data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement
Working with cross‑functional teams to forecast demand and plan future requirements
Overseeing supplier performance and resolving issues to maintain continuity of supply

Profile

We're looking for a Senior Buyer who brings:

Significant experience in procurement within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong negotiation skills and proven success managing supplier contracts
A track record of delivering cost savings and process improvements
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Confidence working with procurement systems and data
At least 3 years' experience in a direct procurement role
Solid understanding of procurement regulations and compliance
