Job Description

Summary

A Senior Design Manager is required to lead and oversee design delivery across multiple interior projects. This role focuses on technical excellence, coordination, and leadership within a fast-paced environment.

About the Client

Our Client is a well-established organization specializing in high-quality interior projects, known for delivering technically complex solutions with a strong emphasis on precision, collaboration, and innovation.

Roles/Responsibilities

Lead and review all design information to ensure full understanding of project scope, requirements, and responsibilities

Manage and coordinate design activities across multiple projects simultaneously

Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, consultants, and Building Control teams

Oversee RFIs, design deliverables, and programme tracking to ensure timely and accurate outputs

Coordinate with MEP, joinery, façade, and other trades for fully integrated design solutions

Liaise with manufacturers to ensure compliance, develop specifications, and provide technical support

Produce and review technical submittals, detailed drawings, and BIM packages as required

Ensure all designs comply with current building regulations and relevant standards

Identify design risks, opportunities, and manage variations alongside commercial teams

Support pre-construction activities including tenders and technical submissions

Qualifications

Proven experience in a Senior Design Manager or Design Manager role within interior projects

Strong technical expertise in drylining, partitions, ceilings, and related systems

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects effectively

In-depth understanding of construction processes, design coordination, and compliance

Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with BIM processes is advantageous
