Green Action Trust is Scotland’s leading environmental regeneration charity, delivering positive change through both advocacy and end-to-end project consultancy across several environmental areas. We work closely with the Scottish Government and a wide range of public, private, and non-profit partners to design and deliver some of the most ambitious green infrastructure programmes in Europe, including the Central Scotland Green Network (CSGN).
To advance our efforts in turning policy into meaningful actions, we are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our motivated and multi-disciplinary team. In this role, you will lead the delivery of complex environmental improvement projects, with a particular focus on our Water Environment Fund (WEF) portfolio. Working from feasibility mapping, through delivery to completion, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You’ll oversee procurement and contract management, collaborate with consultants and contractors, manage risk, project evaluation and reporting, and nurture positive relationships with diverse external partners, including SEPA, local authorities, funders, and community stakeholders.
You will also provide guidance and support to Project and Development Officers involved in delivery, contributing to a culture of good practice, inclusion, learning, and continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, pragmatic project manager with experience in environmental or civil engineering project delivery and familiarity with public sector procurement. In return, you will join a friendly, supportive organisation committed to sustainability, professional development, flexible working, and the wellbeing and inclusion of all colleagues. (see key responsibilities below)
We offer a competitive package and a supportive, friendly, and flexible workplace.
Benefits include reduced working week, hybrid working, private healthcare, 34 days annual leave (inc. 9 bank holidays), volunteering leave, enhanced mileage allowance, and regular social activities. We are also a period and menopause friendly employer, committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.

Provide accurate progress, financial and risk reporting to the Director of Operations.
Build and maintain productive relationships with delivery partners, including SEPA, local authorities, funders, and communities.
Supervise and support Project and Development Officers involved in project delivery.
Champion good project management practice and continuous improvement within the team.
