Job Description
Our Client are a growing main contractor business based in Central London with a group turnover of £50million and looking to further grow their business in 2026. As a brand they have over 30 years experience within the industry and specialise in new build projects for retail, leisure and hotel schemes ranging from £500k - £15million.
They are now looking for an Estimator / Senior Estimator to join the business and support their current team which includes a Head of Estimating & 2 Estimators. They are open to someone within 5+ years experience or someone more senior, the key is someone who can look at their own tenders and be self sufficient.
Responsibilities
Work with pre construction team to prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for new build projects.
Review and understand project plans, specifications, and related documents.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing and information.
Maintain a detailed database of historical cost data for future reference.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to better understand project requirements.
Help prepare and submit tender documents in a timely manner.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Familiarity with construction costs, materials, and processes is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Willingness to learn and grow within the construction estimating field.
