Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Birmingham

We are working with a small to medium-sized multidisciplinary consultancy in Birmingham that is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. The company operates across civil, structural, geotechnical and planning disciplines, delivering work on a range of commercial and residential developments.

This role would suit a Senior Geotechnical Engineer who is comfortable managing their own projects and contributing to a collaborative team.

The role

* Managing and overseeing ground investigations
* Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
* Carrying out foundation design, retaining wall design and slope stability assessments
* Working alongside civil and structural engineers on shared projects
* Liaising with clients, contractors and other stakeholders
* Supporting junior members of the team

Requirements

* Experience in a Senior Geotechnical Engineer position or similar
* Good understanding of UK ground conditions and investigation techniques
* Experience in geotechnical design and report writing
* Able to manage workload and communicate effectively
* Relevant degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or Civil Engineering
