Are you a strategic HR professional passionate about translating business vision into impactful people strategies? AXA Partners is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to work closely with our HRD UK and NAUKI leadership teams. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a deputy to the HRD UK, leading a team of trusted HR advisors who deliver expert consultancy and specialised knowledge. Together with the HRD and UK HR leadership team, you will spearhead initiatives that foster a culture of growth, boost employee engagement, develop top talent, and support both business and people growth. What you’ll be doing
Support the HRD by translating business goals into clear People Strategies, collaborating with the People Director and HR Leadership to define and deliver the people plan, and ensuring alignment with business strategy.
Assist in designing and implementing organisational development interventions to improve efficiency and embed desired culture and behaviours.
Identify critical skills and behaviours, develop talent acquisition and retention strategies, and lead leadership and workforce development. Partner with COEs to create high‑potential employee programmes and ensure succession plans are in place.
Act as a role model to promote a positive work culture aligned with AXA values, address culture gaps, support leaders in driving a performance‑focused environment, and implement initiatives to boost employee satisfaction and engagement.
Utilise metrics to assess the impact of people initiatives, identify trends, and provide insights to improve business performance through data‑driven decision‑making.
Ensure effective HR policies and guidance, coach leaders on high‑risk cases, develop manager capabilities for handling ER issues, and lead the employee representatives forum.

Strong communication, relationship management, stakeholder engagement, influencing, and coaching skills. Ability to challenge key stakeholders and operate within a matrix structure.
Operate at a strategic level with the ability to navigate complexity and possess a strong strategic vision with the ability to drive strategic alignment.
Commercial acumen – understanding how the business operates and being able to talk the business language.
Good financial understanding – ability to analyse financial performance and identify people initiatives that drive commercial value to the business.
A trusted advisor with deep technical knowledge of HR.
Critical thinker recognised as an expert in their field.
Results‑driven and able to “get things done.”
Ability to interrogate and analyse multiple data sources.
Organisational and industry awareness with a passion for bringing external thinking to the table.
Ability to operate effectively in a complex and ambiguous environment.
HR business partnering skills – ability to understand and have an impact on business performance through building and implementing a people agenda.
Good ER knowledge and experience in managing and supporting complex/high‑risk cases.
Collaborative and engaging, capable of driving change and performance and able to implement HR programmes and initiatives.
