Rutherford is exclusively partnered with a global alternative asset management firm that is seeking an experienced Funds Specialist to join their London team. The firm is embarking on a significant growth initiative across alternative markets, with a particular focus on private credit and infrastructure. The firm offers a hybrid working with 2 - 3 days expected in the office. The ideal candidate will be 6 - 8+ PQE with a strong track record in fund formations, including experience across both AIFM and UCITS fund structures. This is a broad mandate, offering the opportunity to work within a highly regarded legal management team as they continue to strengthen their platform in response to increasing client demand.
Key Responsibilities Advising on the structuring, formation, and operation of alternative investment funds, including AIFM and UCITS products. Supporting fund launches across private credit and other alternative asset classes. Providing legal and regulatory guidance on cross-border fund distribution. Drafting and negotiating fund documentation, including offering memoranda, LPAs, side letters, and service provider agreements. Managing relationships with regulators, external counsel, and service providers. Collaborating with senior management and investment teams on strategic initiatives. Monitoring and advising on regulatory developments impacting funds in the UK and EU.
Requirements : 6 - 8 PQE with a strong funds background across private practice or investment management Strong knowledge of AIFM and UCITs fund structures
