A leading Insurer client of mine, operating internationally, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join it's high-performing commercial legal function. Reporting to a newly appointed General Counsel of extensive experience, this is a fantastic opportunity for a 4 year+ PQE Lawyer to gain some real exposure to interesting and exciting Insurance Legal work.
The role is a 12-month maternity cover position, with the real possibility of a permanent role at the end of the contract. You must be able to start within 1 month.
As Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for the following: Drafting and reviewing key Insurance & Non-Insurance agreements, including Binding Authority, TOBAs, Claims Handling, Supplier and Outsourcing contracts. Providing day-to-day and ad-hoc legal advice to different Group entities. Managing and adhering to regulatory requests and advice from the FCA, PRA and other key regulatory bodies. Assisting in the drafting and development of policy wordings, including assisting on existing and new product development. Building strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Underwriting, Claims, Finance and Compliance.
