Location: London (2/3 days in the office)

Salary: Up to £83k + Bonus

Following continued growth and expansion, they are now looking to appoint a Senior National Account Manager to accelerate its presence across key national grocery retailers.

About the Role

The Senior National Account Manager will take full ownership of strategic national retail accounts, driving revenue, profitability and brand growth.

You will be responsible for developing and executing JBPs leading negotiations, and delivering best-in-class account management. This is a highly visible role within the organisation, requiring strong commercial acumen, analytical capability and exceptional relationship management skills.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the company’s grocery strategy and delivering sustainable, long-term growth.


Key Responsibilities

Account Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and deliver annual JBPs for national grocery accounts
  • Drive revenue, market share and distribution growth
  • Identify and secure new product listings
  • Lead successful new product launches
  • Manage pricing strategies, promotional plans and trade investment
  • Deliver sales, margin and trade spend targets

Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for key retail buyers
  • Build strong, long-term partnerships with national grocery customers
  • Lead JBP sessions
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing and promotional agreements

Forecasting & Analytics

  • Develop accurate sales forecasts in collaboration with supply chain teams
  • Analyse POS and syndicated data (e.g. Nielsen, Circana, IRI)
  • Track KPIs including distribution, rate of sale, promotional effectiveness and ROI
  • Provide regular performance reporting and insights to senior leadership

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing on shopper and promotional campaigns
  • Work closely with supply chain to maintain excellent service levels
  • Collaborate with finance on trade spend and profitability analysis
  • Support retailer category reviews and presentations


Key Experience

  • Proven experience managing national grocery retail accounts
  • Strong understanding of UK grocery buying structures and retail dynamics
  • Demonstrable success in commercial negotiations with major retailers
  • Experience using syndicated data tools (e.g. Nielsen, IRI/Circana, SPINS)
  • Advanced Excel and strong analytical capability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
