We deliver real results through tailored high‑end consulting services and solutions.We build strong relationships and partnerships grounded in our core values: Confident, Dedicated, Responsible, Genuine.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild the Power BI reporting environment, contributing to architecture design, security configuration, data‑source connectivity, and governance standards.Establish style guides, templates, and best‑practice standards to ensure consistency and scalability across the organisation’s reporting capabilities.Design and develop dashboards, reports, and data models that provide insights into operational performance, reconciliation data, SLAs, break volumes, and other control metrics.Document processes related to report development, publishing, governance workflows, and change management.Operational Data & Reconciliation ReportingWork with reconciliations across ledgers, middle‑office platforms, bond‑trading systems, and operational controls.Integrate data from reconciliation tools (e.g., Duco) and third‑party/internal systems.Analyse and translate business requirements into BI solutions that address pain points and provide actionable insights.Engage with Operations Control teams to deliver MI supporting reconciliation performance and operational risk management.Technical Support & Systems AnalysisProvide functional and technical support for production systems in Trade Operations, including SWIFT applications, internal/external reconciliations, cash & intraday liquidity management systems, post‑trade lifecycle platforms, and operational reporting applications and volume tools.Troubleshoot technical issues related to data connectivity, firewalls, SQL drivers, and cloud‑based data integrations (e.g., Azure).Collaborate with Middleware and Data Warehouse teams for issue diagnosis, data sourcing, and optimisation.Project Delivery & Continuous ImprovementBalance hands‑on BI development with strategic planning and process improvement.Support upcoming migration projects by extending the reporting function across multiple platforms and data domains.Drive improvements to reporting processes, support models, and implementation practices.Produce project documentation such as BRDs, functional and non‑functional requirements, and data/process models.Skills and QualificationsExtensive experience with Power BI, including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, security configurations, and Azure‑based deployment.Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud/relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Mongo, Oracle, Snowflake).Hands‑on SQL capability with the ability to query, troubleshoot, and optimise data workflows.Experience establishing reporting functions from scratch within a financial‑services environment.Strong knowledge of operational processes, reconciliations, trade lifecycle systems, and control frameworks, preferred but not essential.Ability to create effective data models, cleanse/transform data, and design intuitive dashboards and visualisations.Basic UNIX navigation skills; familiarity with XML, HTML, Tomcat, or web‑based applications from a support perspective.Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.Strong documentation skills including runbooks, procedures, and governance materials.Ability to work autonomously, proactively, and with a continuous‑improvement mindset.DesirableExperience building reconciliation‑focused dashboards or MI for back‑office operations.Experience working collaboratively with Middleware and Data Warehouse teams.Understanding of data‑quality frameworks and data‑storytelling techniques.Proficiency with Excel VBA and Microsoft Visio.Strong analytical thinking and structured problem‑solving.Cross‑functional collaboration with Operations, IT, Data teams, and SMEs.Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions with clear rationale.Proactive in introducing improvements, setting standards, and innovating.Comfortable operating without direct reports but able to grow the function over time.Our peopleProviding our people with a supportive culture, rooted in our values and driven by our purpose.Promoting a culture of inclusion, collaboration, well‑being, and learning and development.Providing increased agility and flexibility within our hybrid working model.Investing in employees’ growth through ongoing training and development.Autonomy to take ownership of projects, making decisions and demonstrating individual expertise.Providing an transparent performance and career management experience.At emagine, we are committed to building an international and diverse team by embracing our different backgrounds.
