A fast-growing, product-led marketplace business is seeking a Senior Product Analyst (Data Scientist) to join its Insights function. This role sits at the centre of product decision-making and works closely with cross-functional teams to shape the experience for millions of users. The successful candidate will deliver deep analytics, guide experimentation, and influence product strategy with data-driven insights. THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Serve as the dedicated data scientist for a core product area, developing a strong understanding of user behaviour and product performance.
  • Identify opportunities and provide actionable insights that drive improvements in product outcomes.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, design, and data teams to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Design and interpret A/B tests and other experiments, ensuring robust methodologies and clear recommendations.
  • Track experiment performance and advise on rollouts, iterations or next steps.
  • Build and enhance dashboards, reporting, and self-serve tools to increase access to insights.
  • Work with data and platform teams to maintain accurate, scalable datasets and help diagnose data issues.


YOUR SKILLS:

  • Strong SQL skills with experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Working knowledge of Python for analytics and experimentation workflows.
  • Hands-on experience designing and interpreting A/B tests.
  • Understanding of ETL processes and the ability to troubleshoot data pipeline issues.
  • Proficiency with data visualisation tools such as Looker or Tableau.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for a non-technical audience.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to balance user experience and business goals.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with multiple stakeholders.
