The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) to join a major highways upgrade project based in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering a significant infrastructure scheme while benefiting from a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

The successful candidate will support the commercial management of the project, ensuring effective cost control, contract administration, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage and monitor project costs and budgets

* Prepare valuations, cost reports, and financial forecasts

* Administer contracts and manage subcontractor accounts

* Review and manage variations and change control

* Support procurement activities and subcontractor negotiations

* Work closely with the project management and delivery teams to maintain commercial performance

* Ensure compliance with project and contractual requirements

Candidate Requirements

* Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) qualification

* 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within highways, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects

* Strong understanding of commercial management and contract administration

* Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills

* Ability to work effectively within a site-based project team and remotely

* Previous experience with NEC contracts
