As our Surface Treatments division continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in our continued success.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of surface treatment projects, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, profitably and to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Commercial management of contracts from tender through to final account.
• Managing variations and subcontractor accounts.
• Supporting project teams to ensure commercial best practice.
• Building strong working relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
• Leading the commercial management of surface treatment projects
• Cost control, forecasting and strategic reporting
• Overseeing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
• Managing variations and subcontractor accounts
• Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff
• Working closely with operational and senior management teams

About You

We’re looking for someone who is experienced, confident and hands-on, with a strong understanding of the surface treatments sector.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within road surfacing, surface treatments or surface dressing.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Pride in your work and a desire to represent a respected family business.
