The Opportunity
Our client, a leading Tier 1 contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team within the water industry. Operating across major infrastructure and utilities frameworks, they deliver high-value projects supporting critical water and environmental services across the UK.

This is a key role with responsibility for managing the commercial performance of projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

Lead commercial management across multiple water infrastructure projects

*

Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost reports

*

Oversee procurement, subcontractor management, and contract administration

*

Manage risk, variations, and ensure contractual compliance

*

Work closely with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners

*

Mentor and support junior commercial staff

About You

*

Proven experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role within a main contractor environment

*

Experience working on infrastructure or water/utilities projects (preferred)

*

Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills

*

Knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC/JCT)

*

Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or similar
