Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the successful delivery of infrastructure projects delivered through long-term, regulated frameworks within the transport and public infrastructure sectors. You will play a key role in managing commercial performance, cost control, and contractual compliance across allocated projects or work packages, working closely with operational, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure value is maximised while maintaining strong commercial governance.

Commercial & Cost Management

Manage project costs from commencement through to final account, ensuring alignment with budget and contractual requirements.
Prepare and submit accurate cost forecasts, CVRs, and commercial reports.
Monitor expenditure, identify cost risks and opportunities, and support mitigation strategies.
Assist in the preparation and agreement of variations, compensation events, and change control.
Subcontract & Supply Chain Management

Support procurement of subcontractors and suppliers in line with framework procedures.
Prepare subcontract documentation, administer subcontract accounts, and assess applications for payment.
Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure commercial compliance with contractual terms.
Valuations & Payments

Prepare and submit interim valuations and applications for payment.
Assess and certify subcontractor payments in accordance with contract terms.
Support cash flow forecasting and financial reporting.
Contractual & Framework Compliance

Support administration of contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT or similar) in line with framework and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate commercial records, correspondence, and audit trails.
Assist with dispute avoidance, early warnings, and commercial issue resolution.
Experience & Qualifications

Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within infrastructure, construction, or engineering sectors.
Experience working on regulated frameworks and/or transport or public infrastructure projects is desirable.
Good working knowledge of standard forms of contract (NEC preferred).
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
