We're recruiting on behalf of a client for a Senior Residential Care Worker to guide and inspire both the young people in your care and the team around you. This is your chance to combine hands-on support with the opportunity to lead shifts, mentor colleagues, and ensure a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment. In this role, you'll be more than a carer - you'll be a role model, decision-maker, and trusted figure who helps young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive.
The Role: As Senior Residential Care Worker, you'll take on both direct care and leadership responsibilities, including: ·Leading and motivating your team to deliver exceptional, consistent care. ·Acting as shift leader, taking operational responsibility when required. ·Building a safe, warm, and positive home environment. ·Supporting young people with daily routines, schoolwork, appointments, and leisure activities. ·Acting as a key worker, contributing to and monitoring care plans. ·Managing challenging behaviour using effective strategies and company-approved techniques. ·Supervising and developing team members. ·Working collaboratively with parents, social workers, and other professionals.
