Senior Support Worker

Senior Support Worker duties include:
Supervising, managing and mentoring a team of staff
Developing and sustaining warm and trusting relationships with service users
Encouraging service users to engage in a range of exciting social activities, both within and outside of their homes
Providing personal care, administering medication and lone working
You will be required to support with overseeing staff deployment and rotas and to work in a flexible manner yourself including working some evenings and weekends.
Working closely with local multi-disciplinary teams and community-based agencies to provide holistic, wrap-around support
Facilitate service user engagement, involvement and peer support
Ensure that there are robust methods of quality monitoring
This post is an ideal opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a high-quality service, giving real job satisfaction as you assist people in defining and achieving their goals both service users and support staff you will work with. Experience of supervising others is desirable; support can be tailored during probation to develop as a supervisor of others.
Consistent supervision and access to training will be given to assist your learning and development.
