Senior Surveyor Locations: Various sites across the North-West Rail Client Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 / year + Company Van from Day 1 Full-Time, Permanent Role

We are seeking a Senior Surveyor to join a rail engineering company based in Merseyside to conduct topographical surveys on Network Rail infrastructure, including permanent way, switches and crossings, and drainage, using advanced techniques such as laser scanning and Total Station. Responsibilities include surveying and mapping Network Rail infrastructure, data collection and analysis, performing gauging surveys using laser sweep technology to generate precise platform profiles, and conducting track and structural monitoring, where you will implement various technologies and methodologies to assess the condition of structures and permanent way over time.

The successful candidate MUST have previous experience in undertaking multidisciplinary topographical surveys, and be proficient in laser data scanning, track surveys, gauging using a range of techniques and equipment such as GPS, Trimble Total Stations, Trimble Scanners, Trimble Gedo System and Laser sweep, alongside proficiency in creating as-built models. You must be flexible to work nights and weekends as there is a requirement to work 2 in 4 weekends (depending on workload), along with a full UK driving license. The ideal candidate will have similar experience in a rail environment, but this is not essential.

*Please be advised that the successful candidate will undergo full training to work on the railway by obtaining tickets such as a PTS (Personal Track Safety).
