Senior Underwriter - Property D&F Open MarketDepartment: UnderwritingEmployment Type: Permanent - Full TimeLocation: LondonDescriptionThe primary purpose of the role is to provide underwriting duties for Lancashire UK for Lancashire’s lines of business.Specific ResponsibilitiesManage and develop broker relationships for this line of businessMaintain a strong focus on core client/broker relationshipsUnderwrite risks for your line of business within your underwriting authority and the agreed business planReceive submissions from brokers, undertake full risk analysis, complete pre-underwriting documentationAgree endorsements within your underwriting authorityEnsure risks offered and bound are within modelled tolerances or that exceptions are approvedWork in collaboration with group underwriting teamsAssist and guide junior members of the team in underwriting processesProduce analytics and management information reports as requiredAssist with ad hoc projects and research work as requiredExperience writing Open Market business and knowledge of brokers in the specsThe Lancashire WayAt Lancashire, we believe our culture sets us apart.
