Senior UX Designer – Consultant Level

Location: London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds & Glasgow

Salary: £57,000 - £70,000 per annum + Benefits

About the Role

We’re looking for experienced and passionate Senior UX Designers to join a growing consultancy team. As a Senior UX Consultant, you’ll play a key role in shaping user-centred digital services that make a real difference. You’ll work closely with user researchers and multidisciplinary Agile teams to design intuitive, inclusive, and effective user experiences.

This is a leadership role where you’ll guide teams, mentor designers, and advise clients on how to get the best from UX design. You’ll be a champion of people-centred design, helping organisations solve complex problems and deliver impactful services.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Agile teams to design services that meet real user needs
• Advise clients on UX strategy, design thinking, and inclusive design practices
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and manage challenging conversations with confidence
• Mentor and line-manage UX designers, supporting their growth and development
• Contribute to recruitment, thought leadership, and business development
• Promote a user-centred design culture both internally and externally

What We’re Looking For

• Advanced UX design skills with experience across varied environments
• Proven ability to work in Agile, multidisciplinary teams
• Experience designing for accessibility and diverse user needs
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience mentoring or managing other designers
• A solid understanding of related roles in product, design, and tech
• Confidence in navigating ambiguity and exploring problem spaces with clients
