Site Manager – Commercial Fit Out & Education Projects (London)\n\n** PLEASE NOTE JOB IS NOT SPECIFICALLY IN FARRINGDON - PROJECTS ALL OVER CENTRAL LONDON**\n\nWe’re working with a growing main contractor looking to strengthen their London team due to an expanding pipeline of secured projects and upcoming tenders. With multiple live schemes and several more in pre-construction, they’re keen to bring in a strong Site Manager who wants to be part of a business that’s building something long term.\n\nThe Projects\n\nCurrent and upcoming schemes include:\n\n * \n\n £5.5m office fit out (high-spec, repeat client)\n\n * \n\n £1.5m shell & core project\n\n * \n\n £5m school refurbishment\n\n * \n\n Major college scheme currently in tender\n\nAll projects sit within education, commercial office fit out, or shell & core, so a solid commercial background is essential.\n\nThe Role\n\nThey’re looking for a Site Manager confident delivering projects circa £2m+ independently, capable of running programmes, managing subcontractors, liaising with clients and maintaining quality and safety standards without heavy oversight.\n\nThis contractor values people who take ownership. You won’t be micromanaged — you’ll be trusted to run your job, with support there when you need it.\n\nWhat They’re Looking For\n\n * \n\n Proven experience delivering commercial, education or shell & core schemes\n\n * \n\n Comfortable running projects up to £2m+ as No.1 on site\n\n * \n\n Strong client-facing and organisational skills\n\n * \n\n Ambition to grow with a business long term\n\n * \n\n Open mindset to potentially move from temp to permanent (ideal scenario), though freelance or permanent options are available\n\nThey’re not looking for a “just here for the next job” mindset, they want someone who wants to be part of the journey and help build the London team.\n\nThe Culture\n\n * \n\n Big on trust and autonomy\n\n * \n\n Supportive leadership, no micromanagement\n\n * \n\n Strong team culture — collaborative but independent\n\n * \n\n Head office meetings occasionally required, but London-based projects\n\nPackage\n\nSalary and package are fully negotiable and dependent on experience.
