The role & about the client:
ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a successful and well-established construction company offering expert building, renovation, and maintenance services. Committed to quality workmanship, honest service, and projects completed to a high standard from start to finish. This client is looking for a Site Manager to join them on a permanent basis for commercial fit out projects. The ideal client will be based around Staines.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure commercial fit-out projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site labour
Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, building regulations, and client requirements
Plan and monitor project programmes, sequencing works to meet deadlines
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance, including site inductions, risk assessments, and method statements
Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets required standards
Liaise with clients, project managers, designers, and consultants to resolve issues and maintain clear communication
Manage site documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and snagging lists
Control materials, deliveries, and site logistics to avoid delays or damage
Identify and resolve on-site problems efficiently, minimising disruption to live or occupied environments
Ensure timely completion of works, including handover, commissioning, and defect rectification The ideal candidate will have/be:

Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering commercial fit-out projects (office, retail, hospitality, healthcare, or similar)
Strong understanding of construction methods, fit-out processes, and sequencing of trades
Excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations
SMSTS qualified and valid CSCS card
First Aid at Work certification
Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain high standards of workmanship
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate site teams and enforce site discipline
Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, project managers, and consultants
Highly organised with strong planning and problem-solving abilities
Experience working to tight programmes and deadlines, often in live or occupied environments
Confident in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
Detail-focused with a proactive approach to quality control and snag management
Flexible, reliable, and capable of adapting to fast-paced fit-out projects How to apply:
