This business has an ever evolving, focused & highly trusted health food offering. The Founder is an ex-professional rugby player with an incredible back story but at its core the business is about driving the nutrition element of their food offering to be at the cutting edge of this growing lifestyle niche. A large part of their target demographic take their nutrition very seriously – they are educated in all elements of what they put inside their bodies - & so expectations are precise. At its core ‘nutrition' is the brands USP – it is both the challenge & the opportunity. The Founder is now looking to hire a one man/woman army to reflect their ethos & multiply the number of eyeballs the business attracts.
Social Media & Content Manager
This is not the norm. It is not about leading a team or briefing work out to Agencies & managing spreadsheets, budgets & metrics. This is about taking an award winning, highly successful but still burgeoning health food brand to the next level through the creation of impactful content that cuts through the noise. The hand restraints are off for this Social Media Marketing Manager role – the Founder is looking for someone who thinks differently, someone who challenges the status quo & doesn't think like the herd. Someone who can move the needle & not be constrained by conventional wisdom or current methodology. Someone who has the strength of their convictions to back themselves fully in taking bold steps in a truly dynamic but cut throat London market.
Social Media & Content Manager
For context the business is already significant – they are currently trading at circa 500/600+ orders per day across inhouse +delivery & collection but you could view this opportunity as a blank canvas from a marketing perspective. They have also just moved to a larger, beautifully fitted out site. There are several very exploitable marketing hooks & low hanging fruit in every direction – they just need to be unlocked in order to take the business to its next level. There are more sites in the growth plan.
The role broadly speaking is about Brand – and everything that goes with that - but its in the creation of brilliant content that the role is truly centred.
The person who will be attractive for this role is already working within a hospitality business in a Marketing or Social Media role where health food / health lifestyle is part of the terrain - or is in a QSR / Restaurant environment with a health food lifestyle passion. It is not for freelancers or influencers. What underpins your experience is a demonstrable marketing track record of taking a business on that scale up journey. You should be a highly skilled content creator, brand strategist & Marketing force of nature.
This is a Social Media & Content Manager role that isn't going to be for everyone. It's potentially aimed at someone that is growing tired of the thankless large company corporate contingency and all of the daily tick box exercises and the paperwork that goes with it - or a Marketeer who thinks their only two options are to either take on a something completely different with true autonomy or move out of Hospitality Marketing altogether. It's for a Marketeer who knows that there is a lot more to running a marketing function than just following ever stricter budgets & doing the same thing day in, day out. It's for those who want the term "our guests" to actually mean something. Perhaps most importantly it's for those in companies who don't want to lose the fire in their belly simply because their current company has got nothing else to offer them.
