JoinSouthern Housingas aSolicitorin ourLitigation team. This is a great opportunity to work in-house in a friendly and supportive environment.

In this role you will be providing high quality legal advice and representation on litigation related matters(particularly regarding housing management matters)toSouthern Housingand its group. This will involve a varied caseload, as well as assisting more junior team members with more straightforward matters. You will build and maintain effective working relationships with the teams stakeholders, including colleagues, residents solicitors, partners outside the Legal Services team and other third parties.

As an in-house team we also deal with a wide variety of contentious legal queries which you will support the business with, and you will have the option(if you choose)to follow a development pathway to grow your legal career with us.

This role is based at one of our main offices in eitherFarringdonorCroydonwith the option for working in a hybrid way when appropriate and as agreed with your manager. Youll often have to travel between those two offices. You may also be required to travel occasionally to our other offices in the Isle of Wight, Maidstone or Sittingbourne.

What youll need

• Youll be either a qualified CILEX Lawyer, Solicitor, or a Barrister with a practicing certificate.
• Previous litigation and housing management experience (particularly working in social housing or for other public sector bodies).
• Previous experience of dealing with litigation matters (including housing management matters).
• The ambition to provide a fantastic service as part of the Legal Services Team.
• Excellent IT skills in particular Microsoft Office suite and Outlook, and able to work within a case management system.
• Ability to present information in a variety of forms to a high standard, including excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent drafting skills.

• Development Level 1 Salary:£48,248.55(0-2)yearsrelevant housingmanagement litigation experience)

• Development Level 2 Salary: £52,789.59(2-3years relevant housing management litigation experience)

• Fully Competent Salary: £56,763(3 years or more relevant housing management litigation experience)
