Flexible Workforce Solutions is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Sous Chef to join the opening team of a brand-new all‑day dining venue in St Andrews. This concept will offer relaxed, quality café-style dishes during the day, evolving into a more refined, neighbourhood-style dining experience in the evening.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established hospitality group at the launch stage and help set the tone for a modern, welcoming venue with a strong food identity.

The Role As Sous Chef, you'll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver high-quality food across both daytime and evening services. You'll be central to building the kitchen culture, developing menus, and ensuring the smooth running of a busy, ambitious operation.
Key Responsibilities Support the Head Chef in leading, developing, and motivating the kitchen team
Oversee daily service and ensure consistently high culinary standards
Contribute to menu development, seasonal ideas, and kitchen innovation
Maintain strong food safety, hygiene, and operational standards
Assist with stock control, ordering, and managing kitchen costs
Take responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
About You Experience as a Sous Chef, or a confident Junior Sous ready to progress
Genuine passion for fresh, seasonal, flavour-led cooking
Ability to work across both relaxed daytime service and more elevated evening dining
Strong organisational skills with a calm, composed approach
Positive leadership style with strong communication skills
Enthusiasm for joining a brand-new opening and shaping its success
