Nestled in the heart of Borrowdale and surrounded by the Lake District fells, weve been serving locals, walkers, and visitors for generations with hearty, seasonal food and genuine hospitality in a truly historic setting.

Were looking for a skilled, motivated, and passionate individual to join our kitchen team as a Sous Chef, supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, fresh food kitchen.

Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior CDP ready to step up
A passion for fresh, seasonal, well-executed food
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
A team player with leadership qualities and a positive attitude
Good understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and stock control
Reliability, consistency, and pride in your work
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy service periods
