As we continue to grow, we're looking for a passionate and driven Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Job Summary: The Sous Chef will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations, from prepping and cooking to managing staff and maintaining high food quality and safety standards. This is a hands-on position suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and has a passion for inventive, high-quality food. Responsibilities: Assist the Head Chef in the planning and execution of daily service
Ensure consistency and excellence in food preparation and presentation
Supervise and support kitchen staff, leading by example during service
Contribute to seasonal menu development and specials
Monitor inventory levels, manage food costs, and ensure minimal waste
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to all health and safety regulations
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
Step in as acting Head Chef in their absence
Qualifications: 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or strong line cook experience in a high-volume kitchen
Knowledge of modern gastropub cuisine and comfort with creative menu development
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Food Safety Certification (preferred or required, depending on local laws)
