The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Team Leader to join a well-established provider of children’s residential care, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
This is a key role within the home, working closely with the Registered Manager and Deputy to lead a team, maintain high standards, and create a safe, stable environment where young people can thrive.
The Role
As Team Leader, you will:
* Lead and support a team of Residential Support Workers on shift
* Deliver high-quality, child-centred care
* Support young people with daily routines, education, and life skills
* Build strong, trusting relationships with children and young people
* Promote a positive, nurturing and structured home environment
Safeguarding & Compliance
* Maintain strong safeguarding practice at all times
* Ensure care plans, risk assessments and behaviour strategies are followed
* Support staff with de-escalation and behaviour management
* Complete accurate records and contribute to care planning
Leadership Responsibilities
* Provide guidance, supervision and day-to-day leadership to staff
* Support with rotas, training, and staff development
* Assist with recruitment and onboarding
* Act as a role model for best practice
✅ What We’re Looking For
* Experience working in a children’s residential setting
* Previous experience as a Senior or Team Leader (or ready to step up)
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
* Working towards Level 3 in Children & Young People
