Deliver an engaging, broad, and differentiated Psychology curriculum that motivates students and supports their academic and personal growth Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students, including serving as a tutor to a designated group Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and help students achieve their individual potential Play a full role in operational and strategic planning, including lesson planning, developing resources, and contributing to departmental initiatives Support the ongoing professional development of yourself and colleagues and engage in quality assurance processes Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholdersWe are looking for someone who:
Holds QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree Has successful teaching experience at secondary level (including teaching practice) and ideally experience in multi-ethnic urban schools or 11-18 settings Understands the theory and practice of effective teaching and learning, with high expectations for all students Is skilled at creating a safe, motivating, and inclusive learning environment Can write lesson plans, develop resources, and assess students effectively Has strong ICT skills, including the ability to use interactive technology creatively in lessons Can work collaboratively as part of a team and build positive relationships with staff, students, and the wider community Communicates effectively both in writing and verbally Demonstrates excellent time management, organisation, and the ability to lead and manage their own work Is able to inspire students, raise aspirations, and support them to achieve their best Apply now and take the next step in your teaching career
