We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf to join a specialist primary provision supporting deaf pupils at KS2. The school provides a highly inclusive, communication-rich environment where pupils are supported to develop academically, socially and emotionally using a range of communication methods, including British Sign Language.

As a Teacher of the Deaf, you will plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to the needs of deaf learners. You will use BSL and other communication strategies to support learning, working closely with specialist staff, support assistants and therapists to ensure pupils can fully access the curriculum. The role also involves supporting language development, promoting independence and creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

To be successful, you should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience working with deaf children, ideally within a specialist setting. Competency in British Sign Language is essential. Strong communication skills, adaptability and a genuine commitment to inclusive education are key.
