SEND experience is essential
We are looking for a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a student with SEND in KS1. The pupil will require help with emotional regulation, behaviour and their interaction with peers as well as their learning. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to a child's life within a supportive and nurturing school environment.
This role is full time and long term and will continue for the remainder of the academic year.
Key responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 learning support to a KS1 pupil Assist with helping child manage day, assist with learning and play Support the student's engagement, independence, and confidence. Work closely with subject teachers and pastoral staff to meet individual learning needs. Contribute to wider classroom activities where required.Requirements:
Experience of working within a primary school setting is strongly desired as well experience supporting children with SEND Minimum Level 2 qualification (or above) in a relevant area is essential. Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with young people. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach. Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet individual needs. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.What Premier Education offers:
