*Team Leader – Children’s Residential Home* *Location:* Wallasey *Hours:* 40 hours per week | 1 day on with sleep-in + 2 days off rota *Pay:* £14.50 – £14.90 per hour (depending on experience) + £60 per sleep-in *Additional Pay:* On-call allowance
Are you an experienced residential childcare professional ready to step into a leadership role? We’re looking for a passionate and committed *Team Leader* to join our small, supportive children’s home providing high-quality care for young people with learning disabilities.
You’ll lead by example—supporting, mentoring, and motivating a dedicated care team, and ensuring our young people thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
*What You'll Do:*
* Lead a team of support workers, ensuring consistent, person-centred care * Promote positive behaviour support and emotional well-being * Provide structure and routine that meets the needs of each child * Build strong relationships with young people, families, and professionals * Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and regulatory standards * Supervise and support staff through ongoing mentoring and feedback
*What We're Looking For:*
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential * Minimum 1 year of experience in a children’s residential setting * Experience working with young people with learning disabilities * Supervisory or mentoring experience within a care environment * Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills * Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
