About the Role

We're looking for a Technical Manager join our busy poultry manufacturing site in Coupar Angus, reporting directly into the Head of Technical. This is a key site leadership role with responsibility for managing the Quality, Hygiene and Compliance functions.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering day-to-day technical performance, ensuring compliance with food safety, quality systems, legislation, and customer standards.

You'll lead the team in a fast-paced environment, making sound decisions to maintain site standards and customer confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership ensuring robust quality management systems and legal compliance
• Lead and develop the technical teams, with full accountability for performance, conduct, and capability
• Monitor and report KPIs, driving improvement through trend analysis
• Lead investigations into complaints, rejections and non-conformances, ensuring effective root cause analysis and preventative actions
• Manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely close-out of actions
• Work cross-functionally with production and technical teams to maintain standards and share best practice
• Support customer visits and third-party audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
• Maintain effective pest control, hygiene and environmental standards

About You

You'll have strong technical experience in food manufacturing, ideally within poultry or short shelf-life environments. xbpsjku You'll be comfortable leading teams, working at pace, and making clear, risk-based decisions.

• Food Safety Level 4
