Role Overview

Imagineers Group is supporting a leading financial services organisation in hiring a Technical Project Manager to join an in-house technology team in Birmingham. This role is focused on software delivery across the SDLC and is ideal for a mid-level to senior professional with strong application-delivery experience. The focus is on platform and application change, not infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery across the full software development lifecycle (requirements through release and post-implementation)
• Partner with engineering, product, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality technology outcomes
• Own delivery planning, milestones, dependencies, RAID, and status reporting
• Operate effectively within Agile and hybrid delivery models, applying appropriate governance and controls
• Support delivery of regulatory, data, and control-driven initiatives within a financial-services environment
• Communicate clearly with senior stakeholders and proactively manage risks and issues

Required Experience

• Demonstrated experience as a Technical Project Manager delivering application or platform development initiatives
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes and modern engineering delivery practices
• Experience working closely with software engineers, architects, and QA teams
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills

Advantageous Experience

• Background in financial services (banking, risk, regulatory, data, or control programmes)
• Exposure to regulatory change delivery or technology initiatives supporting compliance and risk
• Experience operating in large, complex, global organisations

• Mid-level to senior delivery professional
• Hands-on, delivery-focused, and comfortable working in a highly governed environment
• Based in or able to work on-site in Birmingham
