Job Description
Technical Services Manager
Location: Central London (with flexibility to travel to other client sites)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Working 5 out of 7 days
Salary: Highly competitive + 10% bonus + £1,300 flexible benefits

We’re supporting a prestigious, high-profile site in Central London in the search for an experienced Technical Services Manager to provide calm, credible leadership in a complex and fast-paced environment.
This role suits someone who enjoys owning the bigger picture while staying close to the detail. You’ll lead onsite technical teams and specialist partners, maintain high standards of compliance and risk control, and ensure the site is always audit-ready. You’ll also play a key role in modernising maintenance and asset performance, using data, continuous improvement and new technology to drive reliability, efficiency and long-term value for the client.

Key Responsibilities
Lead engineering optimisation initiatives to improve maintenance strategies and asset performance
Ensure all activities comply with relevant statutory requirements and industry codes of practice
Deliver all technical services safely, compliantly, diligently and cost-effectively
Maintain strong governance around engineering and statutory compliance
Build effective industry and client networks to support continuous improvement
Manage key relationships with the client and senior decision-makers
Develop and support an engineering apprenticeship pipeline, ensuring progression and long-term value
Drive best-practice maintenance delivery techniques across the site
What We’re Looking For - Essential
Professionally qualified engineer
Experience working in complex or critical environments with high business risk
Strong knowledge of engineering and statutory compliance
Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills
Proven leadership of critical technical functions
Sound commercial awareness and budget management experience
Strong people-management capability
Asbestos awareness and management experience
Desirable
NEBOSH qualification
Previous Authorised Person experience (trade-specific)
Membership of a professional engineering institute
Risk assessment certification
Experience managing legionella and water quality
