Technology Consultant – Energy & Utilities

London (Hybrid)

Up to £65k Base Salary (Dependent on experience)


We’re supporting a global consulting organisation in expanding their Energy & Utilities practice and seeking a Technology Consultant with experience delivering large-scale change across the sector. This is an excellent opportunity to work with leading UK energy and utilities clients on complex transformation programmes spanning strategy, design and technology delivery.


About the Role

As a Technology Consultant, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive end-to-end business transformation across major UK Energy & Utilities customers. You’ll help shape technology roadmaps, break down complex subject matter for business stakeholders, and support the design, build, testing and deployment of effective solutions.


You’ll work across a variety of methodologies (Agile and Waterfall) and be involved in delivering high-quality, on-time outcomes across multi-workstream projects. This role also offers strong scope for progression, supported by access to extensive training, global expertise and modern delivery frameworks.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of large-scale technology and business transformation programmes
  • Work with stakeholders to define requirements, simplify complex landscapes and shape technology roadmaps
  • Provide functional and technical expertise in the Energy & Utilities sector
  • Contribute to design, build, test and deployment activities
  • Manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
  • Communicate effectively across teams and client groups, including offshore delivery centres
  • Support multiple workstreams while maintaining strong organisational discipline


What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years’ experience within the Energy or Utilities sector
  • Experience delivering or supporting large transformation programmes (ERP, CRM or similar)
  • Strong understanding of industry challenges, trends and operating models
  • Experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall project delivery
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work across diverse teams
  • Line management or team leadership experience is highly valued


Desirable:

  • Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP) or SaaS (Salesforce)
  • Industry or programme management certifications
