About The Role Do you have experience working with vulnerable people with complex needs in a housing, hostel, or supported accommodation environment? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Housing team, supporting some of the districts most vulnerable adults to move on from temporary accommodation. This role involves managing temporary and emergency accommodation placements on behalf of Cotswold District Council, working closely with homeless clients across a range of settings. The focus is on helping individuals access affordable housing options and reducing the time spent in short-term accommodation. Based primarily within one of our hostels, the postholder will work intensively with residents to explore housing options and support their move into longer-term accommodation. The role also requires travel across the district to visit households in temporary accommodation, including hostels and B&Bs. Responsibilities include developing tailored Tenancy Ready plans, ensuring access to appropriate support services, and assisting with risk assessments prior to placement in council-managed accommodation. The role also supports the day-to-day running of hostel services, including reporting repairs and maintaining health and safety standards.
