Town Planner Location: London

Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a boutique, independent planning consultancy in their search for a Town Planner to join their growing London office.

This consultancy is renowned for delivering commercially astute and creatively tailored planning advice. They lead projects from pre-purchase feasibility and due diligence through to planning submission, negotiation, and satisfaction of planning conditions.

Role Overview

In this Town Planner role, you will:

Support planning applications, appeals, and enforcement casework

Conduct due diligence, site searches, and development appraisals

Manage planning audits, development strategies, and risk assessments

Prepare planning statements, LDCs, and represent clients in policy consultations

Work alongside a small but highly experienced multidisciplinary team, focused on added-value outcomes

Candidate Profile

We're looking for someone with:

A degree in Town Planning or related discipline, preferably RTPI-accredited

Experience in planning consultancy or local authority planning roles

Strong report-writing and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines

A commercially minded, proactive approach to delivering planning solutions
