I am working with a well-established, highly regarded UK residential developer with a strong pipeline of new build projects across the region. With continued growth and a long-term land strategy, they are now looking to appoint a Town Planner to support planning delivery across multiple sites.

The Role:

As Town Planner, you will support the Planning team with the progression and delivery of residential planning applications, working closely with internal Land, Technical and Commercial teams as well as external consultants and local authorities.

You’ll play a key role in driving applications forward, managing planning conditions, and ensuring development programmes remain on track.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing, submitting and managing planning applications
• Coordinate external consultants (planning, highways, ecology, etc.)
• Support planning appeals and planning statement preparation
• Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders and statutory bodies
• Manage discharge of planning conditions and S106 matters
• Monitor local plan activity and policy changes
• Attend planning meetings, committees and public consultations where required
• Provide planning input across land appraisals and site viability reviews
• Maintain accurate planning documentation and reporting

About You:

• Degree qualified in town planning or related discipline
• Ideally working towards MRTPI (or already MRTPI qualified)
• Experience in residential planning (developer, consultancy or local authority)
• Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and planning application processes
• Confident communicator with stakeholder management skills
• Organized, commercially aware, and able to manage multiple projects
